هز كريستيانو رونالدو الشباك من ركلة جزاء في الدقيقة 75 ليمنح مانشستر يونايتد الفوز بهدف يتيم على مضيفه نوريتش سيتي في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز لكرة القدم السبت.وقفز يونايتد إلى المركز الخامس برصيد 27 نقطة من 16 مباراة متأخرا بفارق الأهداف عن وست هام يونايتد رابع الترتيب فيما بقي نوريتش في المركز الأخير بعشر نقاط.وسيكون رالف رانييك مدرب يونايتد سعيدا بحفاظ فريقه على شباكه نظيفة للمرة الثانية على التوالي في الدوري تحت قيادته لكن يونايتد افتقر للفاعلية إلى أن هز رونالدو الشباك من ركلة جزاء حصل عليها بعد تدخل من ماكس آرونز.وأنقذ تيم كرول حارس نوريتش تسديدة من رونالدو في الدقيقة 37 ثم أبعد الحارس الهولندي ضربة رأس من هاري مجواير في نهاية الشوط الأول فيما ردت العارضة ركلة حرة من أليكس تيليس.وكان نوريتش أخطر في الهجمات المرتدة في الشوط الثاني وأبعد الحارس ديفيد دي خيا كرة من تيمو بوكي قبل أن يحسم رونالدو الفوز.وضغط صاحب الأرض قرب النهاية وأنقذ دي خيا مرماه من ضربة رأس من أوجان كاباك قبل أن ترتد تسديدة بيلي جيلمور في دفاع يونايتد.
